RECENT NEWS & AWARDS
Earlier Shows Gerald Moore's many awards include a one-man show award in the summer of 2004 at the Dow Chemical Company Center for the Arts in Midland, MI; in 2009, Moore won Best in Show at the Greater Flint [MI] Arts Council's All Media Member Artists Exhibition, judged by the Curator for the Department of American Art at The Detroit Institute for Art.
2012
Moore continues his impressive inclusion into multiple prestigious juried shows: He exhibited one painting in the very tough Mount Clemens show that draws heavily on the Detroit, Michigan area; Moore received a Special Award of Merit in Saginaw, Michigan's State of the Art show, a very competitive 25-year-old show; he won 3rd place in Spring into Art, a small Saginaw show that has seen much recent growth; Moore also had two paintings accepted into the Greater Michigan Exhibition Midland, the largest and toughest show in Michigan the show is double-juried, very modern and only 56 artists were accepted.
2013
Moore has been accepted into The Art of the Sleeping Bear Dunes fine art publication and exhibition at the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City, Michigan. The Exhibition runs from October 12 to early January 2014. Moore is being given a one-man show at the Flint Institute of Arts in November and December. This is next to the Detroit Institute of Art in Flint, Michigan the biggest and best in the state!
2014
In January, Moore received yet another Best of Show juried award from the Greater Flint [MI] Arts Council. In July, he received a Merit Award in a prestigious juried exhibition at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. Moore's winning streak continues as his remarkably executed paintings continue to impress!
