| "I was born in Sahel, Burkina Faso between the Sahara Desert and the Savanna of West Africa. My parents are nomads, me too; they have cows, sheep and goats. Now a days, Sahel has become more and more of a desert animals die, people go away. When I was a kid I used to keep the animals, and I drew them a lot. I drew a long line of sheep or cows. At that time I just used a pen to draw. The more I liked to draw, the more I liked to have colors and reality. Then, I started to use the mud of the hill and the sap of the trees to make colors." |

"Today, I don’t just represent the beauty of the animals and hills; I give my opinion about the problems of my world and find solutions. Every time I paint I use just what I have for the most beautiful thing I want. In this philosophy I want to say to my people, they don’t have to go away, they must use what they have, to be better."
Abdoul's paintings are created from all natural materials found in his environment.
